Striper Fishing Field Test: New E-Pedal Kayak from Old Town
On July 11, 2023, @OldTownCanoeKayak shocked the kayak fishing community with the release of their all-new E-pedal fishing kayak, the Old Town Sportsman BigWater ePDL+.
The power-assisted pedal drive allows seamless switching between manual pedal, power-assisted pedal, or fully motorized cruise control, giving anglers the freedom to go farther, endure heavier currents, and fish harder. We were given a sneak peek at the all-new ePDL+ at the height of the June striped bass migration on Cape Cod.
After two full days of striper fishing, OTW’s Kevin Blinkoff caught up with Old Town’s Ryan Lilly to review the features and performance of the revolutionary electronic-assist pedal kayak.
