Can you rig an inflatable boat—one that fits in the trunk of your car—with all the trappings of a fiberglass fishing boat?

According to the makers of the Sea Eagle 437 PaddleSki, if you have the right platform, you certainly can.

An inflatable catamaran, the Sea Eagle PaddleSki is a rugged, stable, 14-foot boat that can be paddled or outboard-powered then put away as a 67-pound duffle-bag-size package. With five independent air chambers for safety and a rigid high-pressure inflatable drop stitch floor, it’s stable enough for standing and can handle a 6-horsepower outboard gas motor.

Long Island fisherman Hawaiian Dan has rigged his Sea Eagle PaddleSki “to the nines” with a bow-mounted Minn Kota Spotlock-capable trolling motor, deck-mounted rod holders, a chartplotter, and a Honda 5HP gas motor. Fully loaded, he can cover water at 14 miles per hour to chase down striped bass blitzes, then use his trolling motor to sit on top of tautog, scup, and sea bass.

Amazingly, he can go from car trunk to on the water in 20 minutes, fully rigged and ready to fish. To see how he does it, check out the video below.
