SweetWater brewery has been making tasty fish-inspired-brews in the heart of the south since 1997. What started as a pipe dream among two fishing buddies has turned into a flourishing business and fruition of the American dream. Their beer is now widespread, and can be found in liquor stores throughout the Northeast, and beyond.

Their 420 Extra Pale Ale is by far their most popular offering. The very first batch was brewed on 4/20, and they immediately realized that this was the kind of beer that they were after. Available in cans and bottles, it has become a favorite for many anglers across the East Coast.

SweetWater Brewing Co. Offers an extensive collection of fishy brews.

Overall, this beer scored well for an extra pale ale. I found it smooth, light and refreshing, with a good amount of carbonation and just a hint of hoppiness. It pours with a light amber color with a nice head and lacing. The aroma was slightly dank, with a slight hint of hops. This is indeed a fine brew, and would pair well with fishing.
