First Look: NorthCoast Boats New 255HT Cabin
A rugged, versatile platform focused on fishing performance.
NorthCoast Boats has added a new model to their seaworthy and sea-kindly line up of center console and cabin/hardtops, the NorthCoast 255HT Cabin. The new Hard Top model falls perfectly between NorthCoast’s 235HT and 285HT and is a rugged, versatile platform focused on fishing performance.
Schedule a Test Ride aboard a NorthCoast Boat
NorthCoast focuses on building a great boat at a great price and accomplishes this by keeping the unnecessary bells and whistles to a minimum. The 255HT sports classic lines with a private head and optional galley below, sleeps two (75″ Length) and has 6’2” at the helm. With a wide-open layout in the pilothouse and cockpit, there is excellent visibility and a substantial amount of room for fishing or cruising. With a twenty-two-degree dead-rise and a 9’5″ beam, it’s able to run soft and dry across wave tops with a wide-open throttle of 56 miles per hour with optional Twin Yamaha 250s. Serious anglers will be able to arrive at the fishing grounds faster and enjoy a longer and wider cockpit to fight big fish – which can be brought aboard via through the walk-thru transom door.
A number of existing NorthCoast 235HT owners, fishermen, and cruisers, have regularly requested a model that is slightly smaller than the 285HT Cabin, known to be spacious below, sleeping four, with a private head. The new 255HT design checks all the boxes. While addressing a wish list topped by a separate “private enclosed head”, generous V-Berth, dressing/optional galley area below decks, the design maintains NorthCoast Boats “No Fluff” philosophy-even with the addition of Wet Sounds newest stereo technology.
